Remote Follow Focus Kit

Remote Follow Focus Kit

$75/day

I came across the Cinegears Express when I was looking for an affordable remote follow focus system that I could take on jobs that didn't have the budget for higher-end gear (like a BarTech, Heden, etc.).

The Cinegears fits the bill, and I think it could easily take the place of higher-end systems in the majority of jobs. The transmitter feels great in your hand, and the wireless link between transmitter and receiver is responsive, can work through a wall or closed door, and has a real-world line-of-site range of 100 meters.

One cool, unique feature about the Cinegears is that its receiver is built into the motor, so you only have to attach one item to your camera (the motor). And you can attach that motor to the 15mm rods built into the top handle of the C300s that I rent out, so you don't need to weigh the camera down with a heavy baseplate just to attach the motor.

See my review of the system on Pro Video Coalition, right here
